Margaret is tough and ambitious. Unlike her husband, Henry, she is not shy with violence as it helps her with gaining an upper hand. She will do anything to secure her place, from taking the frontline when warring against the Yorks, to fleeing from England and seeks help from the French. She also forces Henry so that they had children to inherit the crown. She is harsh towards her son, Edward, and taunts him every time she deemed him as cowardice, like her husband. It would be a long time before time softens her.

Edward V is selfish and short-tempered and his tyranny troubles those around him. When the date for his coronation is set, an event's entertainment has been decided to be a hunt in the woods. Edward V orders Richard to offer up his own son as the prize in the contest. However, the hunt is a trap set by Elizabeth, but as it fails and Richard escapes to safety, Richard and his supporters announce that Elizabeth was never the legitimate wife of Edward IV, and Edward V and his younger brother Richard are taken to the Tower of London.
