Rurouni Kenshin: Haru ni Sakura

緋村剣心

Himura Kenshin (緋 (ひ) 村 (むら) 剣 (けん) 心 (しん) ), birth name Himura Shinta (緋 (ひ) 村 (むら) 心 (しん) 太 (た) ), is the main protagonist and titular character of the Rurouni Kenshin series. He is known as the legendary hitokiri of the Meiji Revolution, Hitokiri Battōsai (人 (ひと) 斬 (き) 抜 (ばっ) 刀 (とう) 斎 (さい) ), more properly named Himura Battōsai (緋 (ひ) 村 (むら) 抜 (ばっ) 刀 (とう) 斎 (さい) ). Kenshin has spent ten years traveling Japan as a rurōni in search of redemption, carrying a sakabatō with the vow to never kill again following his service in the Bakumatsu as an assassin for the Imperialist cause. In 1878, he arrives in Tokyo and takes up residence at the Kamiya Dōjō, where his vow is tested as he fights to keep the country's peace.

四乃森蒼紫

Tall and lean, Aoshi is frequently described as being very handsome, with a long, youthful face and short black hair cut neatly in back but with a distinctive fringe of permed bangs falling in front of his face and parted in the center. Aoshi's most distinctive feature is his eyes, which are a piercing, ice-cold blue.

A lovely young lady, Megumi carries herself with a womanly grace. She is always seen wearing red lipstick in contrast to her pale complexion and her shiny black hair hangs straight and neat to mid-back length with layered, shoulder-length strands hanging casually around each ear. When out of her doctor's outfit and cap, Megumi dresses in plain but pretty kimonos, usually in pastels of blue and/or violet.

巻町操

Misao is a little petite young woman with the lean build of someone who engages in regular physical activity. She has large, greenish-blue eyes and wears her black hair cut to chin length on the sides of her face, but in a long, thin braided ponytail in the back. Misao is often seen wearing a blue Oniwabanshū-style shinobi shozoku tied with a pink obi. To complement this outfit, she wears tabi socks with zori sandals and her lower legs wrapped in blue tape and on her hands, she wears blue combination hand- and forearm-guards.

三条燕

Sanjō Tsubame (三条 燕) is a young employee at the Akabeko who gets acquainted with Yahiko during his tenure at the restaurant and eventually becomes closer to all of the Kenshingumi.

In the Samurai X: Reflection OVA, Kenji is in his adolescence. By this time, Kenji is still very fond of his mother and visits her during her illness but has grown up harboring a fierce resentment towards his father, whom he believes neglected him and Kaoru.
