The demon queen subdued enormous and powerful monsters and slaughtered over half of the world's population. Surviving members of the human race elected a hero to slay the demon queen, beseeching release from her oppressive rule. However, he questions his mission to eradicate the monsters in his opinion they too are conscious and alive, and so he anguishes over that fact. Sheila the Demon Queen became interested in him and joined his journey, hiding her identity with the plan to kill him after she has gained his trust. Eventually, she realizes that she fell in love with the hero and hence their journey begins...

MAINSheila (シーラ Shira) is the Demon Queen who personally wiped out half of humanity and subjugated all the monsters. After experiencing the loss of her beloved dragon at a young age, she decided to kill as many humans as she could so as to create a world for monsters and monsters only. Upon meeting the Hero, Sheila decided she would approach him so as to get close to him, and kill him when the opportunity came; however, she finds herself to have accidentally developed romantic feelings for Exa. And so, putting up the façade of a meek monster, Sheila joins him in his journey.
エクサ
MAINExa (エクサ Ekusa) is the Hero who dreams of monsters and humans co-existing in harmony. He values all monster and human life, and does not wish to kill anyone, firmly believing that the war can end without the complete extermination of one race. Despite his philosophy, he will make an exception for the Demon Queen, whom Exa can never forgive for the atrocious crimes she has committed, as well as for the murder of his family and friends at the hands of the latter. Exa believes that with the death of the Demon Lord, peace could be restored to the world.
ラクシュリ
MAINAt first, Lakshri appears to be a complete womanizer (and for the most part, he is). He is easygoing, playful, and kind. He likes to tease Angelica mercilessly about her weight and her "lack of assets". He is often sent flying by Angelica or Sheila because of his attempts to harass them.
カガミ Kagami
SUPPORTINGKagami is a monster who is the advisor to the Demon Lord. Formerly, Shelia's advisor now Copy's advisor. He grows more wary as Shelia becomes more fonder of Exa and later on plans on having Copy take the title of the Demon Lord. Kagami has the ability to control monsters and humans alike with tendrils.
