Tsubasa has black hair with long bangs and a mole a little below his left eye. As a 14-year-old boy, he stands at the average height for his age. Since he and his family were admitted to a hospital, his introductory outfit consists of a blue hospital gown, slippers, and a bandage on his head. When they arrive at their house, he is dressed in a plain oversized shirt paired with black tracksuit pants.

Kakeru has dark black hair that is parted in the middle, dark eyes, and a pair of high-spec eyeglasses. He, like Tsubasa, wears a hospital gown during their hospitalization, and when they return home, he wears a long stripe-patterned sweater paired with dark pants.

Shiori is a short, young girl with large, gentle blue star-colored eyes. Her hair is thin and black, and she wears it in a ponytail. She has an uneven fringe and two strands of baby hair that curve downwards from above each of her ears.

Minako is petite and has clear skin despite her age, which is assumed to be around the age of Kakeru because they are believed to be husband and wife. She has short, neck-length, wavy, reddish brown hair with bangs that frames her face slightly. Her eyes are a shade of brown and orange, matching the color of her hair. During their hospitalization, she would also wear a hospital gown. She was dressed in a folded turtled-neck light colored thick long-sleeved sweater paired with dark pants when they arrived home.

Kozo is a man who has lived a long and full life, and his physical appearance reflects this. He is short in stature, with white hair that speaks to his age. His face is lined with wrinkles, which are a natural result of the passing years. While he may not be one to smile often, this does not mean that he is unapproachable or unfriendly - in fact, Kozo has a calm demeanor that can be quite reassuring to those around him.

She has a very thin facial structure, and her wrinkles are visible due to her age. She dresses casually in a light polo with no collar and simple pants.
