MAINVash the Stampede (ヴァッシュ・ザ・スタンピード,, Vasshu za Sutanpīdo) is the main protagonist of the Trigun series created by Yasuhiro Nightow. Vash is also known as The Humanoid Typhoon due to the destruction and chaos that often surrounds him. Wielding a huge nickel revolver, he travels from town to town to learn more and protect what his adoptive mother, Rem, treasured most: love and peace.

ミリィ・トンプソン
MAINMilly has a kind heart as well as a strength of character and genuine optimism. Kindness comes to her naturally and she does her best to give it to others, often going out of her way to offer help to those who need it. She is a bit of a crybaby as well and is easily upset over trivial things such as pudding. In the manga, she later has a change in the profession and leaves her job as an insurance agent, working alongside Meryl in No Man's Land Broadcasting.

MAINMeryl Stryfe (メリル・ストライフ, Meriru Sutoraifu) in Trigun Stampede is a journalist working for the Bernardelli News Agency attempting to track down Vash The Stampede. In Trigun and Trigun Maximum, Meryl and her junior coworker, Milly, are agents of the Bernardelli Insurance Society sent to evaluate claims regarding Vash The Stampede.
