Two beings, one of pure good and one of pure evil, infused with all the knowledge and abilities of their creator, were set to awaken when the world was about to enter its final war. Shortly after his masterpieces were completed, the creator committed suicide, satisfied with the potential mayhem his creations will cause. Now, 1000 years later, a peaceful city is terrorized by a monster attack. The monster was created by the "pure evil" being named Vice, as a means to draw out his "pure good" counterpart, Ultimo. When the monster starts wrecking the city and attacking innocent bystanders, Ultimo appears to take out the monster. Finally, the two meet and their grand battle begins. Who will win? Who will lose? What do the police think about these new creatures destroying their city?

ウルティモ,
MAINUltimo (ウルティモ, Urutimo) is one of the main protagonists and opposite of the central antagonist, Vice, making him the embodiment of ultimate good. He is the leader of The Good Dôji Club, and his master is Yamato Agari, who was also his master in the 12th century.
バイス
MAINVice (バイス, Baisu) is the leader of The Evil Dôji Branch and is the central antagonist of the series. In every way, Vice is the opposite of Ultimo and is considers the embodiment of ultimate evil, focused solely on the destruction of Ultimo and all that is deemed good.
Rune Kodaira (小平 ルネ Kodaira Rune), also known as Rene, is Yamato Agari's best and oldest friend. Circumstances in the present have caused a drastic turn of events, turning him against his friend and becoming current master of Jealous.
東 大和
MAINHe is the reincarnation of a bandit, also named Yamato, that tried to assault Roger Dunstan in 12th Century Kyoto. He along with his group of bandits tried to steal the two boxes containing Ultimo and Vice, thus starting the everlasting battle between them and the other Karakuri Dôji.
Roger Dunstan (ロジャー ダンスタン Roger Dansutan) is a mysterious, yet major character of the series as well as the instigator behind all the events that occur within the series, through his creation of both Vice, Ultimo and the other Karakuri Dôji.
Kawagoe Kei, commonly referred as K (ケー), was a member of Farmless City's S.K.A.T. Team; who came into conflict with Vice during his first appearance in the 21st century, over the destruction of the car and weapons that compensated for his numerous insecurities, but he was able to obtain part of Vice's severed arm to become his master in the 21st century.
村山 武蔵
SUPPORTINGMusashi Murayama (村山 武蔵 Murayama Musashi) is a 16-year-old student, in the current the 21st Century, and has been the master of Sophia throughout the eras in which the series occurs.
狭山 真琴
SUPPORTINGMakoto Sayama (狭山 真琴 Sayama Makoto) is the girl Yamato is in love with, during the 21st century and the daughter of the president of "Sayama Sports" and is a designer for her father's company. She has recently turned 17 in the series, and her birthday is the day before the One Hundred Machine Funeral. As of Chapter 26, she is the new master of Regla.
