Yashahime: Princess Half-Demon

もろは

Moroha (もろは) is the tritagonist and one of the titular characters in Hanyō no Yashahime. She is the only daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome Higurashi, Moroha is a quarter-yōkai bounty hunter who slays yōkai and sells their parts to other yōkai slayers.

せつな

Setsuna (せつな) is the deuteragonist and one of the title characters in Hanyō no Yashahime. She is the youngest daughter of Sesshōmaru and Rin and the younger fraternal twin sister of Towa Higurashi.

日暮とわ

Towa Higurashi (日暮（ひぐらし）とわ) is the main protagonist and one of the titular characters in Hanyō no Yashahime. She is the firstborn daughter of Sesshōmaru and Rin and the elder fraternal twin sister of Setsuna. Upon being adopted in the modern era, she is the adoptive daughter and half-niece-in-law of Sōta Higurashi and Moe Higurashi and the adoptive older sister and half-cousin once removed of Mei Higurashi.

殺生丸

Sesshōmaru (殺（せっ）生（しょう）丸（まる）, "Destruction of Life") is a very powerful inu daiyōkai, feared throughout the Feudal Era. He is the older half-brother of the hanyō Inuyasha and the firstborn son of Tōga.

日暮かごめ

Kagome Higurashi (日暮（ひぐらし） かごめ, "Birdcage (first name), Sunset (family name)") is the modern day reincarnation of the feudal era miko, Kikyō, and the narrator and heroine of the series. She was unknowingly born with the legendary Shikon no Tama inside her body until the day of her 15th birthday, when a yōkai pulled her into her family's sacred well, taking her roughly five hundred years back in time, and later extracted the newly reborn gem from her. After she accidentally shattered the jewel into hundreds of fragments that disperse all throughout Japan. Kagome, along with the hanyō Inuyasha, had to recover all the shards of the Jewel before they fall into the evil influence of the evil mastermind Naraku, meeting several allies and enemies in the process. In the ending, soon after Naraku's defeat, she married Inuyasha and lived forever with him in the past.

桔梗

Kikyō (桔梗, "Chinese Bellflower") was a shrine priestess who lived 50 years prior to the main events of the series. She was responsible for purifying the Shikon Jewel and was the former lover of Inuyasha. After being deceived and fatally injured by the hanyō Naraku, Kikyō bound Inuyasha to the Sacred Tree with a sealing arrow and sacrificed her own life to keep the Jewel from returning to the realm of the living. Shortly after the Jewel was brought back to the Feudal Era, Kikyō was resurrected by the demon ogress Urasue. After learning of the circumstances of her death, she resolved to destroy Naraku and to purge the Shikon Jewel from the world.

琥珀

Kohaku was killed by a demon named Naraku who was posing to be a castle's lord during one of the yōkai taijiya's missions and was made to kill every yōkai taijiya that was there, including his father, in order to blame Inuyasha. He is later revived by Naraku as a human puppet against Sango with the only purpose of stealing Inuyasha's sword, the powerful Tessaiga, and had a Shikon Jewel shard embedded in his back to keep him alive and under the control of Naraku without memory of what he had done. Kohaku, at first before being slain, was inexperienced with his weapon, a kusarigama (a demon bone sickle on a chain). He then becomes a rather advanced wielder with the power of the Shikon Jewel shard.
