Kengo Akechi

Kengo Akechi (明智 健悟) is a police superintendent acting as Isamu Kenmochi and Tadano's superior. Akechi is a rival of sorts for Kindaichi, but they both share a mutual respect for each other. Along with Kindaichi and Yoichi Takato, he's one of the very few characters to be a protagonist. Akechi is the protagonist of the spin-off Akechi Case Files and Inspector Akechi Case Files.
