Riko

Riko (リコ) is the protagonist of Made in Abyss. She is a 12-year-old girl from Orth, the town at the edge of The Abyss, and the daughter of the legendary White Whistle, Lyza "The Annihilator." When she was only two, her mother began her "Last Dive" to the bottom of the Abyss, leaving her in the care of Belchero Orphanage given the death of her father, Torka, prior to her birth.
