Made in Abyss: Official Anthology is a compendium of short comics set in the same world and with the same characters from Made in Abyss. MAINNanachi (ナナチ) is the tritagonist of Made in Abyss. They are a Narehate, a person who survived the 6 Layer's Curse and was left deformed as a result; however, unlike most other Narehate, Nanachi retains a sound mind. Possessing vast knowledge of The Abyss' ecosystem, vegetation, and even the use of medicines, they join Riko and Reg on their descent through The Abyss. Their gender is ambiguous.

MAINReg (レグ, Regu) is the deuteragonist of Made in Abyss. He is a robotic being with the appearance of a young boy; his true origins are unknown, as he cannot recall anything about his life before being awoken by Riko. She names him after a dog she once owned, "Reg," but it is later revealed he went by the same name prior to ever meeting Riko. He voluntarily joins Riko on her descent through The Abyss in search of answers to his unknown past.

MAINRiko (リコ) is the protagonist of Made in Abyss. She is a 12-year-old girl from Orth, the town at the edge of The Abyss, and the daughter of the legendary White Whistle, Lyza "The Annihilator." When she was only two, her mother began her "Last Dive" to the bottom of the Abyss, leaving her in the care of Belchero Orphanage given the death of her father, Torka, prior to her birth.

MAINPrushka (プルシュカ, Purushuka) is the adoptive daughter of the White Whistle Delver, Bondrewd. Not much is known about her early life, as she fell victim to The Curse of the Abyss, resulting in intense physical and psychological damage from which she had to begin life anew.
