Blade of the Immortal

万次

Manji (卍, Manji) is one of two main protagonists of Blade of the Immortal, the other being Rin Asano. In addition to appearing in the manga, Manji has appeared in the two series' animated adaptation where he is voiced by Tomokazu Seki in 2008 series and Kenjiro Tsuda in 2019 series. Keith Silverstein has been Manji's English actor in 2008 series and Andrew Love in 2019 series.

天津影久

Kagehisa Anotsu (天津影久, Anotsu Kagehisa) is the current leader of the Itto-ryu in the Blade of the Immortal anime and manga series.

乙橘槇絵

Born into a samurai family, Makie and her mother Fuki Otono-Tachibana (乙橘吹, Otono-Tachibana Fuki) were disowned and cast away from the family by her father, Yoshiaki Harukawa when Makie's older brother committed seppuku after Makie was revealed to have inherited the family's famed talent and he was unable to defeat her in combat.

浅野凛

Rin Asano (浅野凛, Asano Rin) is one of the two main characters in the Blade of the Immortal series, the other being Manji. Though the story starts out with Manji, the story is primarily Rin's.

凶戴斗

Taito Magatsu (凶戴斗, Magatsu Taito) is a core Itto-ryu member in Blade of the Immortal, and also one of its finest swordsmen. He assisted in the slaughter of the Asano household which was led by Kagehisa Anotsu.

百淋

Hyakurin bleaches her hair as a compulsion to remove bloodstains from it, an urge which began after the death of her son (and the murder of her husband). She often wears a black wig to cover her blonde hair. Sometimes she is also seen smoking.

吐釣群

Kagimura is a kind man who cared deeply for his family, despite the fact that he had hundreds of innocent men put to death by the hands of Ayame Burando. Kagimura's original plan was to find the secret of immortality in order to make the current Shogun an immortal. In the end, Kagimura expressed regret for not stopping the experiments once Burando concluded that only people who's blood matched Manji's could become immortal because 250 fewer people would have died, and he didn't want to risk the Shogun's life for immortality.

たんぽぽ

Tanpopo (たんぽぽ) A Kunoichi of the Rokki-dan alongside Meguro, as a student of Master Sori, Tanpopo is considerably much more talented at art than Meguro. Her real name is "Urara".

He is a former male prostitute, infiltrates the Itto-ryu as the Mugai-ryu's mole. Posing as a page handling weapons and correspondence, he poisons the Itto-ryu during their unification feast with the Banshu. Sosuke Abayama eventually kills him for his betrayal.
