御狐神双熾

Soushi Miketsukami (御狐神双熾 Miketsukami Sōshi) is the main hero of this story. He is a nine-tailed spirit fox and, like the other members of the SS, is of ayakashi-human ancestry. Of them all, he is the most powerful. Soushi is usually calm, polite, and gentle to everyone, with a special soft spot for Ririchiyo Shirakiin. He blindly obeys her like a "dog" and always tries to protect her, even if his own life is at risk. He once served Kagerou Shoukiin.

白鬼院凜々蝶

Ririchiyo Shirakiin (白鬼院 凜々蝶 Shirakiin Ririchiyo) is the main protagonist of the story. She once resided in room number four of Ayakashi Kan who was the client of Soushi Miketsukami. She tends to put a cold front because it is her only way to cope the things she was put through. Ririchiyo finds herself constantly distressed about not being able to communicate with people properly and decides to move into Ayakashi Kan in order to be alone. She later befriends Karuta Roromiya and Banri Watanuki, both of which attend the same school and live in Ayakashi Kan. She can be called a tsunshun instead of tsundere due to the fact that she gets depressed (shun) instead of becoming lovestruck (dere) after behaving in a conceited manner.

髏々宮カルタ

Karuta Roromiya (髏々宮 カルタ, Roromiya Karuta) is the SS of Kagerou Shoukiin. She can transform into gashadokuro (large skeleton).

夏目残夏

Zange Natsume is just like the others in the aspect that he is half-youkai (demon) and half-human. He is the SS agent of of Banri. He has a cheerful personality and usually wears bunny ears. He is particularly fond of Soushi and tenderly calls him "Sou-tan".

渡狸 卍里

Banri Watanuki (渡狸卍里 Watanuki Banri) is a mixed-blood tanuki youkai (raccoon dog demon). Very impulsive and outspoken, he labels himself as a “delinquent” and he is also the childhood friend of Kagerou, Natsume, and Soushi. He is in love with Karuta.

青鬼院蜻蛉

Kagerou Shoukiin (青鬼院蜻蛉 Shōkiin Kagerō) is the master of Karuta Roromiya, the former master of Soushi Miketsukami and the childhood friend of Banri Watanuki and Zange Natsume. Kagerou was also the fiance of Ririchiyo Shirakiin.

反ノ塚連勝

Renshou Sorinozuka (反ノ塚連勝 Sorinozuka Renshō) is an Ittan-momen youkai, and his partner is Nobara Yukinokouji, the yuki-onna. He has several tattoos and tanned skin. He gets along very well with Ririchiyo and considers her a little sister. Because of that, Soushi respectfully calls him "brother".

雪小路野ばら

Nobara Yukinokouji (雪小路 野ばら, Yukinokōji Nobara) is the partner of Renshou Sorinozuka who survived the attack by the enemy youkai. However, afterward, she became so obsessed with finding out where they went that on one of her investigations, she somehow died. She was reincarnated and she is currently a middle school student.

河住丈太郎

Homare Nekozuki (猫月 誉 Nekozuki Homare) is the sinister-looking service head of Secret Services and concierge of Maison de Ayakashi, who also lives in the property.

Kuroe Karasuma (烏丸 黒江 Karasuma Kuroe) is the assistant of Shimon Satorigahara who also reincarnated, but it is not clear whether or not she remembers her past self.
