After enduring cruelty from his classmates, Sakurada Jun shuts himself away, preferring to live in solitude. Just when he thought he’d found peace in seclusion, a mysterious box disrupts his world, revealing the enigmatic Shinku—a living doll from the legendary Rozen Maiden collection. Shinku is beautiful yet demanding, and instantly declares that Jun shall be her new servant. Before he can wrap his head around the unusual events, they’re attacked! With no other options for survival, Jun agrees to a contract with Shinku and witnesses the true nature of her power.
Now sworn to Shinku, Jun is pulled into the dangerous world of “The Alice Game,” a deadly battle where only one of the seven Rozen Maiden dolls can emerge as the perfect doll. With danger lurking at every turn and Shinku’s high-maintenance personality to contend with, Jun is about to learn just how intense playing with dolls can be!

MAINKanaria (金糸雀 Kanaria, Kanarienvogel / Canary Bird) is the second doll created by Rozen. She claims to be the brainiest of all the Rozen Maiden dolls, and always tries to steal the other dolls Rosa Mystica. She eventually gives up and becomes very good friends with the dolls and spends time at the Sakurada residence playing games and having fun.

SUPPORTINGKirakishou is taller than some of the dolls, despite being the youngest. Kirakishou wears a white, ornately ruffled dress. On her head are two small roses tied to her hair, and she wears tall white boots. She has been shown with white hair, and her single eye is yellow; her right eye is not an eye, but simply a white rose growing from the socket. In the manga, Shinku quotes: "Her left eye can see everything, but reflects nothing, while her right eye is an empty hole, with a white rose growing out of it." Kirakishou's hair in the 2013 anime is a peach blonde, and her flowers are white.
