Even though she always ranked first in tests and athletic events throughout middle- and high school, she had no friends for a long time because of her silent and indifferent attitude towards others, and since she only focused on making her mother live a better life.

MAINHe is the heir to the Yanagi business conglomerate and comes from a rich and influential family. Because of his wealth—paired with his looks, athleticism and brains—he was treated much like a King during his elementary school days. However, he was eclipsed by Mikoto Kujou—a girl the complete opposite of him—in both academics and sports, after she transferred into his fifth-grade class. That was the first time Naoto tasted the feeling of defeat, and after a brief confrontation with her that left him shocked, he vowed to outdo her no matter the cost.
相馬蛍
SUPPORTINGKei Souma (相馬 蛍, Sōma Kei) is one of the recurring characters of the Last Game manga. He is a freshman student at college who is considered to be a cute and easy going young man, and is one of the most popular boys at school along with Naoto Yanagi. However, he is from the countryside which he tries to hide and is jealous of Naoto, who is arrogant and gets whatever he wants (according to himself). He tries getting close to Mikoto Kujou when he sees how close they are to take her away from Naoto, only to fail. However, he stills joins the Astronomy Club in the end to beat Naoto, continuing to have a deep hatred towards him for a while.
藤本しおり
SUPPORTINGShiori Fujimoto (藤本 しおり, Fujimoto Shiori) is one of the recurring characters of the Last Game manga. She is a cheerful and outgoing second-year college student who is a member and in charge of the Astronomy Club. She is dating the president of the club, Miyabe, who she was convinced by to join. Fujimoto is also the one who convinces Mikoto Kujou to join the Astronomy Club after they meet in a lecture, and the pair soon becomes best friends.
