Ristuka often takes photographs or "makes memories" because of his fear of forgetting people and being forgotten. Later in the series, his friend from his previous school, Osamu, states that Ritsuka used to be in a photography club in his old school, with Ritsuka usually taking pictures of people while Osamu takes pictures of flowers and plants.

我妻草灯

Not much is known about Soubi's background. He lost both of his parents when he was six years old, and enrolled in Shichisei Gakuen (Seven Moons Academy), a school for Fighters, some time after. In the Seven Moons Academy, he became the student of Ritsu Minami, who was said to have been the Sacrifice of Soubi's mother (which was why they met).

塩入弥生

Yayoi Shioiri (塩入弥生 Shioiri Yayoi) is a classmate of Ritsuka Aoyagi. Yayoi is thirteen years old. He is shown as being socially awkward and with low self-esteem, and feels great jealousy towards Ritsuka. Yayoi admits that he loves Yuiko Hawatari, but when he confessed to her he was rejected. Yuiko claims her reason was that she only dates boys taller than her, but the truthfulness of that statement is called into question when it is painfully obvious she loves Ritsuka, who is just as short as Yayoi. Despite his jealousy of Ritsuka's close friendship with Yuiko, he is encouraged by Ritsuka's adamant claims that their relationship is purely platonic. He makes a firm statement he will not give up on Yuiko, and spends more time with her than ever. It is notable that in the manga, Yayoi has a rather small role. He is absent for large parts of the story, and has only a small amount of dialogue. In the anime, they utilized his character much more to enhance the would-be love triangle of Yayoi + Yuiko + Ritsuka, and to inject comic relief into a dark story.

中野倭

Yamato Nakano (中野倭, Nakano Yamato) is the Sacrifice of the female Zero pair. In contrast to Kouya Sakagami's solemness, Yamato has an outgoing, vivacious personality. Their relationship is the focus of a mini-story arc in Volume 4.

目瑤二

Youji Sagan (目瑶二, Sagan Youji) is the Sacrifice of the Zero (Male) pair. He is one of Nagisa Sagan's experiments, and presumably the second generation of the Zero project . He is the Sacrifice of Natsuo Sagan (who is also a Zero). Youji and Natsuo are infamous for their unwillingness to follow rules as well as their sadistic pleasure in witnessing people struggle and suffer. He makes his first appearance in Volume 2/Episode 6, when he and Natsuo attempt to rape Hitomi Shinonome. Upon nearing their attempt to rape Hitomi, Soubi Agatsuma thwarts their efforts and challenges them to a battle without the company of Ritsuka Aoyagi, his Sacrifice. Despite the pairs demands/recommendations for Soubi to contact his Sacrifice, he stubbornly refuses claiming he could defeat them without his Sacrifice's aid. Youji and Natsuo ultimately corner the now weakened yet unmoved Soubi and start to physically torture him to the point that they nail his hand to the ground in order to persuade him to admit defeat. Upon nearing possible triumph over him, Soubi casts a spell on them which changes the battle areas climate close to Absolute 0 which lowers their body temperatures to almost fatal levels.

新井ミドリ

Midori Arai (新井 ミドリ, Arai Midori) is the male member of the Breathless pair. Midori is the Sacrifice and partner of Ai Myoujin, the Sentouki of the pair.

青柳美咲

Misaki is abusive and violent towards Ritsuka Aoyagi and is shown to be very unstable mentally. She has little grasp on reality and hallucinates often, especially after a visit from Nisei Akame during volume 5. She blames Ritsuka for his personality change two years before the start of the series, and beats him frequently to try bringing his old self back.

重森ケイジ

山本英雄

Hideo Yamamoto (山本 英夫, Yamamoto Hideo) is the Sacrifice of the Bloodless team who has a grudge against Septimal Moon. He completely hates Sacrifices with names different from his own name. Hideo initially comes across as rather pleasant and mild-mannered in contrast to his rude and obnoxious Fighter, Yurio, but is actually extremely cold and calculating.
