Lag Seeing (ラグ・シーイング Ragu Shīingu) is a Letter Bee, and the main protagonist of the series. He is voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro.

ニッチ

Niche (ニッチ Nicchi) is Lag's dingo. She travels with Lag, acting as his bodyguard against Gaichuu, and sticks closely to Lag along with her pet Steak on her head.

ステーキ

Steak (ステーキ Sutēki) is an endangered animal and Niche's pet in the Tegami Bachi series. Steak often proves useful by scaling Gaichuu and Pointing at its weak spot with his tail.

ラルゴ・ロイド

Largo Lloyd (ラルゴ・ロイド Rarugo Roido) is the former director of the Bee Hive before being dismissed of his post by Caribs Garrard. Since then, he joined the Reverse after revealing his true motives.

シグナル

Signal (シグナル Shigunaru) is one of the supporting characters in the Tegami Bachi series and the gatekeeper of Bifrost Bridge.

カリブス・ガラード

Caribs Garrard (カリブス・ガラード Karibusu Garādo) is a former letter bee and an inspector. He is currently the new director of the Beehive after Largo Lloyd. In the anime, he was a marauder.

Five years before the series, Shaz fell in love with a young stone artisan named Philippe Lanois. However, her parents had plans for her to marry into a wealthy family. Although Shaz did love Philippe, she married a man she did not love to please her parents, and was a dutiful wife despite her husband cheating on her and became friends with a young servant named Thelma. It was around that time that Shaz began to write letters to Philippe with a single sentence. "I want to see you." However, her husband, in an act of anger, pushed Shaz down the stairs, causing the young woman to become injured and bedridden. Shaz askes Thelma, who was by her side, to burn the letters if she died. Thelma suggests that she mail them instead as Shaz presumably dies. Shaz later appears beside Thelma after her ex-husband and mothter are arrested. As Lag Seeing tells Philippe that her marriage to Walter Scarr will be annulled, Shaz stares lovingly at the man she loves, prompting a happy reunion for the couple.

盗賊・アウトバーン

モック・サリヴァン

Moc has dark brown hair and brown eyes. He wears the standard Letter Bee uniform, though with his own personal touches. On his right leg is a pouch that holds his dingo. His face is very angular while have long hair that frames his face well.

セリカ

Celica was both Niche and her Sister's Mother, about 200 years before the start of the main story of Tegami Bachi. She went to Maka's Cave after being chased by the villagers of Blue Notes Blues. Celica revealed that she was chosen to become the next sacrifice to Maka in order to warm up the fields to grow crops because the temperature went down due to the Spirit Amber Mining in the area by the Amberground Government. She tried to run away from the village, but was attacked by them and was left to die at Maka's Cavern. With her husband dead from starvation, she had no living relatives in town, so she was chosen.
