To LOVE-Ru: Rito to Sayaka no Houkago Ato

Yūki Rito is the main male protagonist of the To Love-Ru series, and its sequel, To Love-Ru Darkness. He is a normal 16-year-old student of Sainan High, who has a big crush on Sairenji Haruna, to whom he attempted numerous times to confess to but has met failure each time. It was only by accident that he met Lala Satalin Deviluke, an alien princess he accidentally became engaged to.

Arai Sayaka, named Matsuo in the first season of To LOVE-Ru anime, is a minor character, the classmate of Yuuki Rito in both his first and second year. She is often seen hanging around with Shirayuri Koyomi. She and Koyomi are Sairenji Haruna's fellow members of the tennis club. It is strongly implied that Koyomi is in love with Sayaka.

金色の闇

Konjiki no Yami (金色の闇, Golden Darkness), real name Eve, and mostly referred to by other characters as Yami, is a major character in To LOVE-Ru and To LOVE-Ru Darkness. She is a lonely assassin who is initially hired by Lacospo, one of Lala's arranged suitors, to kill Yuuki Rito. But when Lacospo effectively annuls the job, she decides to take her time and, under the pretense of still needing to complete her mission to kill Rito, stays on Earth. As she spends more time on Earth, she builds a very strong relationship with Rito's mature younger sister, Yuuki Mikan and to Rito himself, whom she also develops feelings for.

ララ・サタリン・デビルーク

Lala Satalin Deviluke (ララ･サタリン・デビルーク, Rara Satarin Debirūku) is the main female protagonist of To-Love Ru Series, but takes a more minor role in To-Love-Ru Darkness. The story begins with Lala running away from home as she didn't want to get married to any of her suitors. Due to an accident, she ends up naked in Yuuki Rito's bathtub. Upon arriving on Earth, Lala pretends to love Rito to keep herself from getting married, but really fell in love with him after she misinterprets a statement that Rito shouts in self-defiance.

古手川唯

Yui Kotegawa is a secondary female protagonist, who belongs in Rito's class throughout the second year. She is also the head of the school disciplinary committee.

ナナ・アスタ・デビルーク

西連寺春菜

Haruna Sairenji (西連寺 春菜, Sairenji Haruna) is the second female protagonist of To Love Ru. She is in Rito's class and is the girl of his affections. Haruna has similar feelings for him, having been attracted to him because of his kind, gentle nature since junior high, but believes them to be unrequited and has not built up the nerve to confess to him. Despite her growing love for Rito, her friendship with Lala causes her to suppress her feelings since she doesn't want to hurt Lala who also loves Rito. However, with some encouragement, she eventually tells Lala of her feelings for Rito which Lala accepts, stating that Haruna is her rival for Rito's heart, while still remaining friends.

黒咲芽亜

Kurosaki Mea is a character from To-Love-Ru Darkness. She is sent to Earth to bring back the "old" Yami. It is revealed that she is Yami's younger sister as she was created by the same organization and from the same project (Project Eve) as her. At first she is found alone staring out the window until she meets Nana and becomes friends with her. She now views others as friends. It appears that she has sexual and emotional, feelings towards Rito, although she tends to use them in a playful, teasing way around him.

白百合こよみ

Koyomi Shirayuri (白百合 こよみ) is a minor character, the classmate of Yūki Rito in both his first and second year. She is often seen hanging around with Arai Sayaka.

沢田未央

Mio Sawada is Risa's and Haruna's best friend and one of Rito's and Lala's classmates. Mio is almost always seen with Risa and loves to take part in her usual antics. She works at a maid cafe as a waitress, and Risa is always coming there. Mio is usually seen as a minor character.
