Abel Nightroad

Abel Nightroad, also known as Crusnik 02 and born Abel Knightlord, is the main protagonist in the series. He is a member of the AX division of the Vatican Ministry of Holy Affairs who is referred to by his codename, "Crusnik" as an agent of the AX.

Esther Blanchett is one of the main protagonists of Trinity Blood. She is introduced as a novice nun/rebel who meets Abel Nightroad in Istvan and becomes The Lady Saint after the Mark of a Lady Saint/Imitation Star Arc.

Ion Fortuna (イオン・フォルトゥナ) is the Earl of Memphis, a Methuselah of a high-ranking Imperial noble family and a favorite of the Empress. In the novels, it is stated that he has been appointed the Chief Imperial Sword-bearer, and has been promised a future position in the State Secrets Institution.

Hercules Tres Iqus

Hercules Tres Iqus (トレス・イクス), designated as HC-IIIX and commonly known as Tres Iqus, is one of ten HC Series "Killing Doll" mechanical soldiers created by Vatican scientist Professor Gepetto Garibaldi. He is a cyborg; a machine with the exception of his brain and brainstem, both of which are organic. Iqus is an agent of the Vatican Ministry of Holy Affairs AX division. His codename as an AX operative is "Gunslinger."

Suleyman

Suleyman, Duke of Tigris, is the third highest ranking noble of The New Human Empire and a very respected war hero who has kept the Empire together for the past ten years. He has served the Empress for 300 years. He is also the Deputy of the Imperial Secret Council who has known Astharoshe Asran (Suleyman's distant relative) ever since she was a little child. He is the uncle of Shahrazad Al-Rahman. He was used by the Rosenkreuz Orden in a plot to overthrow The Empress.

Isaak Fernand von Kämpfer (イサーク·フェルナンド·フォン·ケンプファー), codename "Panzermagier," is a high-ranked member of the Rosen Creuz Orden. He is a very mysterious character, and little is known about him. He is very close to Cain Knightlord and sometimes even manipulates him into doing things.

Gyula Kádár (ジュラ・カダール) is the Marquis of István who ruled from behind the scenes, acting as a dictator through his own military police force, even though the city itself appeared to be neutral territory.

Wendy

Wendy may seem like an ordinary young girl, but she is actually an artificial fairy-like Methuselah who gained her powers through Professor James Barrie's experiments. Because of the experiments, she and the other surviving children fear and hate all adults. She leads the orphans in attacking ships for supplies. To control the orphans, she uses the Tinker Bell Coordination System, which causes them to share Wendy's thoughts as she directs their actions.
