Trinity Blood

Abel Nightroad, also known as Crusnik 02 and born Abel Knightlord, is the main protagonist in the series. He is a member of the AX division of the Vatican Ministry of Holy Affairs who is referred to by his codename, "Crusnik" as an agent of the AX.

Esther Blanchett is one of the main protagonists of Trinity Blood. She is introduced as a novice nun/rebel who meets Abel Nightroad in Istvan and becomes The Lady Saint after the Mark of a Lady Saint/Imitation Star Arc.

イオン・フォルトゥナ

Ion Fortuna (イオン・フォルトゥナ) is the Earl of Memphis, a Methuselah of a high-ranking Imperial noble family and a favorite of the Empress. In the novels, it is stated that he has been appointed the Chief Imperial Sword-bearer, and has been promised a future position in the State Secrets Institution.

Hercules Tres Iqus (トレス・イクス), designated as HC-IIIX and commonly known as Tres Iqus, is one of ten HC Series "Killing Doll" mechanical soldiers created by Vatican scientist Professor Gepetto Garibaldi. He is a cyborg; a machine with the exception of his brain and brainstem, both of which are organic. Iqus is an agent of the Vatican Ministry of Holy Affairs AX division. His codename as an AX operative is "Gunslinger."

Andreas, also referred to as Brother Andreas, is the youngest member of the Department of Inquisition. He holds doctoral degree in mechanical engineering. His mobile armor is called "St. Michael's Armor."

Dietrich von Lohengrin, codename Marionettenspieler (Puppeteer), is part of the Rosenkreuz Orden and who lives with Esther Blanchett (Dietrich's good friend) in an orphanage run by a church, until he betrays her at the beginning of the series and he used Radu Barvon after his death to achieve his mission's goal, but he failed when Radu's body was destroyed by Seth Nightlord.

Gyula Kádár (ジュラ・カダール) is the Marquis of István who ruled from behind the scenes, acting as a dictator through his own military police force, even though the city itself appeared to be neutral territory.

Pope Alessandro XVIII (Latin: Alexander XVIII) is a male Terran and the 399th Pope (Bishop of Rome) of the Catholic Church, the son of the late Pope Gregorio XXX and a woman from one of Rome's oldest aristocratic families. After his father's death in 3055 AD, Alessandro defeated his uncle, Alfonso d'Este, Archbishop of Cologne, with the support of Cardinals Francesco di Medici and Caterina Sforza (half-siblings of Alessandro XVIII). However, it was not Alessandro's choice to succeed his father.
