Itsuki "Ikki" Minami is the leader of Kogarasumaru, and the main protagonist of Air Gear. He is the former leader of the East Side Gunz.

鰐島咢

Bearing a striking physical resemblance to their mother: Gazelle, Agito; Akito; and Lind are an effeminate-looking teenager with a slight build and shoulder-length, dark blue hair. They are 14-15 years old when first introduced, aging only 6 months as the series progresses. They are 142 cm (4'8") tall, weigh 38 kg (84 lbs) and have blood-type AB. Their usual attire consists of an eyepatch, black pants, and black jacket with the Kogarasumaru emblem emblazoned on the back. They used to carry straps with hooks that can be wound around Their legs and used to bind enemies. When first introduced, their attire was an orange straight-jacket with stripes along the sleeves and front, an eyepatch, white pants, with their usual straps with hooks. 美鞍数馬

Kazu is a blond-haired, blue-eyed teenager. Specifically, he is 15 (14 at the start of the series), 165 cm tall, weighs 49 kg and is blood type A. His usual attire consists of an off-white beanie, pale blue hoodie pullover [or his black uniform jacket in the beginning], black pants and fingerless gloves; he only takes off his beanie when he gets serious. On occasion, he wears a black jacket with Kogarasumaru's logo emblazoned on the back. His looks and introverted personality have earned him many online fans, who refer to him as "Pegasus descended to Earth". In this description, he is shown as a knight in shining armor riding a white, winged horse.

野山野林檎

Ringo Noyamano (野山野 林檎, Noyamano Ringo) is the female protagonist, Ikki's childhood friend, and a member of the Noyamano family that adopted Ikki into their household. However, behind her seemingly plain and unimpressive guise of a junior high school student, she is actually the successor and leader of the legendary team, Sleeping Forest. She is the current Thorn Queen of the eight "Kings" in the AT world. She helps Kogarasumaru in times of trouble under the guise of "Croissant Mask" (Croissant Kamen) (also known as "Swimsuit Mask"), Kogarasumaru's No. 1 Supporter, though Agito and Simca know who it is. She has since passed this role onto Kururu Sumeragi. Ringo is a King Class A-T Rider, wielding the techniques of Sonia Road; meaning she, using hyperventilation to fill her joints with air bubbles, employs superhuman agility while riding, at the price of suffering extreme pain while she does this.

皇杞枢

Kururu is a young teenage girl of average height with long light colored purple/pink (depending on source) hair that goes down to her back and has some sides of her hair sticking up, which she can't keep smoothed. Her friends call it cute. She usually wears her Tool Toul To outfit or her school uniform and has a hair pin at the top of her head in the shape of an X. She has very messy hair, and uses pins in attempt to keep it kept. She always carries tools around in her clothing. It is noted that she has a tattoo of Tool Toul To's emblem below her left ear but whether this is because of her station as the Pledge Queen, or because she is a member of Tool Toul To (implying that all members have a similar tattoo), or if it is personal choice hasn't been seen.

オニギリ

Onigiri is a short boy with his head is in the shape of an onigiri (hence the name). He has a black fade haircut and usually wears a jacket and gloves. He's also, like Buccha, rather fat and stubby.

御仏一茶

犬山

Inuyama is the leader of Rez Boa Dogs team. He is a close friend of Tokudawara Gonzo of Kintetsu Bulls. He was defeated by Ikki. Though defeated and his team disbanded, he continues to support Ikki afterward.

The only female member of Sleipnir, referred to as the "Spring of Life". Freya has cat-like ears on the top of her head, a fact which confuses Kazu somewhat before the match with Kogarasumaru. She also makes cat-like noises and gets angry when Kogarasumaru examines the planes, though she is berated for this by Loki. Like Loki, she carries around a sword, albeit a slightly smaller one.

Like the other members of Sleipnir, Thor has a nickname: "Asgard Mjollnir". He assists Loki's plan by tricking Agito into firing a Bloody Blade Fang into Onigiri's plane. He later reveals that the members of Sleipnir are Brain Chargers in an attempt to goad Lind into battle.
