錐生零

Zero Kiryu (錐生 零, Kiryū Zero) is both an ex-human vampire and a vampire hunter. Zero is the older twin brother of Ichiru Kiryu, Yuki Kuran's partner, and the biological father of Ren Kiryu.

玖蘭枢

Kaname Kuran (玖蘭 枢 Kuran Kaname) was a Pureblood vampire and Head of the Kuran family, one of the seven remaining Pureblood families who was also one of the progenitors of the Vampires and the first Kuran, giving him an estimated age of 11,000 years old. Kaname was the fiancé of Yuki and the biological father of Ai Kuran.

黒主優姫

Yuki Cross (黒主 優姫, Kurosu Yūki) is the main protagonist of the Vampire Knight series. She is a former student and Guardian of Cross Academy. She is later revealed to be the Pureblood daughter of the Kuran family later awakened as a Vampire by Kaname Kuran, subsequently becoming Yuki Kuran (玖蘭 優姫, Kuran Yūki). Following this, she leaves Cross Academy with Kaname as his fiancé, but later returns to the Night Class to help the students coexist as originally planned.

黒主灰閻

Kaien is a tall man with blond colored hair and usually pulls it back into a ponytail. Though he is over 200 years old, he looks to be a man in his mid-twenties. Kaien enjoys wearing very odd clothing and can be spotted with over-sized lion feet slippers, large colorful hats and pink aprons, occasionally. As one of the few characters that wears spectacles, he sometimes removes them in times of action. He can also have a generally light-hearted and comical appearance, but occasionally puts on a serious face during such situations. As a vampire hunter, Kaien had a generally more serious and mature design. He appeared to wear simpler, yet dark clothes and often discarded his glasses, especially before a big battle. His hair was often left loose.

夜刈十牙

Toga Yagari (夜刈十牙, Yagari Tōga) is the current top ranked vampire hunter and a qualified teacher. Yagari formerly trained Zero Kiryu and to an extent, Ichiru Kiryu, to be a vampire hunter. Some time later, he became co-president of the Vampire Hunter Association with Kaien Cross.

紅まり亜

Maria Kurenai (紅 まり亜, Kurenai Maria) is a sickly girl who was the new Night Class student at Cross Academy and a very distant relative of the late Shizuka Hio.

緋桜閑

Shizuka is a very beautiful and tall woman (compared to most of the other female characters) with long silver-white hair and eyes that were an unusual shade of pink, similar to the color of cherry blossoms.

若葉沙頼

Yori has a petite slender build with short light brown hair, big hazel eyes and a cute appearance. Her outfits are usually very modest and feminine.

玖蘭 李土

Rido Kuran (玖蘭 李土, Kuran Ridō), was one of the major antagonists of the Vampire Knight series and was once Shizuka Hio's fiancé. He was a Pureblood vampire, the older son and eldest child of the Last Kuran King and Queen, the older brother of Haruka Kuran and Juri Kuran, the uncle of Yuki Kuran and the father of Senri Shiki.

一条 麻遠,

Asato Ichijo (一条 麻遠, Ichijō Asatō) aka "Ichio" was Takuma's grandfather and head of the Senate and was known as Ichio. He was a memeber and the Head of the Ichijo Family and an Aristocrat Vampire.
