ケイト

Kate (ケイト, Keito) is a young girl in the Shadow family, a noble family. She is the main protagonist of Shadows House along with her "Living Doll", Emilico.

エミリコ

Emilico (エミリコ, Emiriko) is the main protagonist of the Shadows House series and narrates some of the chapters. She is a Living Doll and works as a maid in the Shadows House, acting as the "face" of Kate Shadow.

ジョン

John (ジョン, Jon) is one of the side protagonists in the Shadows House series and the Shadow living under the care of the "Living Doll", Shaun.

ショーン

Shaun is a young boy with short dark hair, greyish-purple eyes, and pale skin. He usually wears the standard male "Living Doll" uniform or a portrait when serving as John's "face". He's also been known to wear glasses in private since John doesn't need them.

オリバー

Oliver (オリバー, Oribā) is one of the side characters of the Shadows House series. He is a Shadow working in the house as a Star Bearer and is the master of the "Living Doll" Olly.

シャーリー

Like the rest of the Shadows in the house, Shirley is all black and appears to be a silhouette of her "Face", Rum. Shirley is a young girl with curly, short hair cut in a tomboy style. Her outfit consists of a white undershirt and shorts that are overlayed by a lavender-colored dress, a white hair piece with two lavender ribbons, white socks, dark violet sandals, and a lavender ribbon tied around her left index finger.

アンソニー

Anthony is a slender young man with dark-brown curly hair done in a simple sidepart and brown eyes. His face is very handsome. He wears a Veiled Doll uniform - a black floor-length dress and a gray cloak with a large hood.

エドワード

Edward (エドワード, Edowādo) is a Shadow that resides on the second floor of the Lord Grandfather's Wing. He is the current warden of the Children's Building. He has completed Fusion and has taken over his Living Doll, Ed's body.

リディア

Like the rest of the Shadows in the house, Lydia is completely black and appears to be a silhouette of her "Face", Liddy. She wears a dark-green dress reminiscent of office attire with puffed sleeves and a pencil-skirt. Under the dress she appears to be wearing a cream shirt with a high collar and chain-clasps. She also wears black shoes with silver buckles and round earrings.
