She is an elite Exorcist for the Order of Magdalene's New York Branch. Though she is sent on many missions regarding the exorcism of many demons and the general supernatural, her primary focus is on her search for her missing younger brother, Joshua Christopher, who was taken by the demon Aion four years before the series' beginning. In order to do this, Rosette formed a Contract with the hornless Demon, Chrono. Despite this her life being shortened because of the contract, Rosette pushes forward, determined to save her brother.

Like all his kind, Chrono has the ability to take more than one form. He displays three in the series: a child form, an adult form and a demon form. In order to preserve Rosette's time, Chrono most frequently appears in his child form, a boy approximately twelve or thirteen with an olive complexion, large crimson eyes, pointed ears and sharp canine teeth. His long violet hair is generally tied back in a braid with a yellow ribbon. He wears a red band over his forehead and a red tailcoat and shorts decorated with gold embellishments. Beneath it he sports a white dress shirt and a tie. He also wears black tights, high white socks and brown shoes.

アズマリア・ヘンドリック

Azmaria Hendric (アズマリア・ヘンドリック, Azumaria Hendorikku) (b. 1914, in the anime) (b. 12 March 1912 - d. 1998, in the manga) is the Apostle of Charity, and a 12 year-old girl. Azmaria can heal people's injuries by singing hymns. In the manga she is the last of the 7 apostles in being found even thought she is the second oldest of them.

サテラ・ハーベンハイト

Satella Harvenheit (サテラ・ハーベンハイト, Satera Hābenhaito) is a jewel witch or Jewel Summoner and bounty hunter who kills Demons. She was born in Germany from a very wealthy family, her entire family was wiped out save for her and her older sister Florette by the "hornless demon", who turned out to be Aion. She was then raised by her kind butler Steiner, who still remains by her side. She is now searching for her sister, who was taken by Aion. At first she feels uncomfortable around Rosette and the others due to their trust with Chrono, a hornless devil like the killer of his family and responsible for her suffering, but after spending time with them, she recognizes them as her friends. There are major differences between the Manga and Anime variations of Satella.

アイオーン

He was the leader of the Sinners and a Demon. He was also Chrono's twin brother. He was after all of the Apostles, including Azmaria, for reasons that are unknown until Chrono reveals them. His goal was to rebuild the world out of the "system" that binds everyone to their respective roles.

フロレット・ハーベンハイト

Fiore (フィオレ, Fiore), real name Florette Harvenheit (フロレット·ハーベンハイト, Furoretto Hābenhaito), is a very powerful Jewel Summoner who is Joshua's caretaker/maid, whom he refers to as "older sister". When she was younger she was taken by Aion, who erased her memory. Aion replaced her memories of Satella with memories of Joshua, which in turns makes her think that Joshua is her brother. She is completely devoted to Aion and Joshua, vowing to always protect Joshua no matter what. Later when she encountered her sister Satella she had no idea who she was. However, in the manga, she retained her memories and insisted that her existence as "Florette" ceased the day she died. In the anime, during the battle with Satella, Fiore mentions that she is little more than a doll, and that she belongs to "Lord Joshua and Lord Aion". Also, when Satella calls her Florette, Fiore becomes enraged for some reason.

ヨシュア・クリストファ

Joshua Christopher is Rosette's younger brother and is also the Apostle of Hope in the anime, he holds allegiance to Aion's Sinners. In the manga he is is one of the 7 Apostles, and the first to be found by Aion.

エドワードハミルトン

Edward Hamilton (エドワード・ハミルトン, Edowādo Hamiruton), also known by his nickname, Elder (長老（エルダー）, Chōrō (Erudā)), is a scientist of the Order of Magdalene, in charge of weapons development. Elder is the person who makes the weapons used by the exorcists. He also has a great love for women which is why he may appear perverted, though he greatly cares for all the girls. He loves teasing Rosette, but deep down he really cares about her and Chrono and helps them whenever he's able to do it. He was like a father to Magdalene, and doesn't want Chrono to repeat the mistakes of the past.
